Bangui, Safar 22, 1437, December 04, 2015, SPA -- The United Nations is "outraged" after eight civilians were killed by armed men at a site for displaced people in the Central African Republic, the organization's humanitarian coordinator in the country said Friday, according to dpa. A UN peacekeeper was wounded in the attack on Thursday, which took place in the town of Ngakobo in the east of the former French colony, Aurelien Agbenonci said in a statement. "I am not only saddened but outraged to learn of this attack on an internally displaced site in Ngakobo, in Ouaka province," Agbenonci said. "This horrific act has cost the lives of eight innocent people and is in clear violation of international humanitarian law." Agbenonci called on those involved in the conflict to stop targeting civilians and to ensure their safety and security. --SPA 23:01 LOCAL TIME 20:01 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
