Riyadh, Rabi'I 22, 1436, Jan 13, 2015, SPA -- The ministers responsible for cultural affairs in the Arab world concluded here today 19th session of Conference of the Ministers in charge of Cultural Affairs in the Arab world. In Riyadh Declaration issued today, the ministers responsible for cultural affairs in the Arab world expressed thanks and appreciation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his generous patronage, expressing also thanks for a warm hospitality during their stay in the Kingdom. The ministers choose "Arabic Language as Basic for Cultural and Humanitarian Integration" as a main topic, stressing importance of this topic due to challenges facing the Arab world. The ministers confirmed that the Arabic language as the tongue of the Arab thought, creativity and knowledge is the invincible corner of the Arab identity and culture. "The Arabic language, as it is a pillar of the Arab identity, should receive special interest in the Arab cultural policies through raising the plans from level of the national plans to the Arab strategic level which requires coordination with provisions of the scientific objectives and outputs," the ministers added. --More 18:52 LOCAL TIME 15:52 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
