Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia is Keen on Supporting Developing Countries

Riyadh, October 19, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad Newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its efforts at the international level to address many crises and mitigate their effects, especially in developing countries. In this regard, Finance Minister Mohammad Al-Jadaan affirmed in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, Saudi Arabia’s keenness to continue working to support growth and recovery and enhance financial sustainability, along with providing support to developing countries, the paper added. Saudi Arabia also continues its strong support for the international community efforts aimed to recover the global economy, the paper further added. This comes as an extension of the exceptional and extraordinary efforts it exerted during its presidency of G20 to activate coordination and joint cooperation, mobilize resources and initiatives to face challenges, the paper concluded. Al-Riyadh and Okaz newspapers reported in their editorials that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia adopts a comprehensive development approach for all regions, governorates and centers, through a broad national strategy which includes all economic, cultural and social fields . Yesterday, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz announced the launch of strategic offices to develop a number of Saudi regions, including Al-Baha, Al-Jawf and Jazan. The strategic offices will be the basis for the establishment of development authorities in the future in order to capitalize on the unique competitive advantages each of the three regions have to offer, in addition to developing the investment environment to be investment-attractive areas in partnership with the private sector.
