Riyadh, Dec. 06, 2021, SPA -- Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh received at his office in the Shura Council’s headquarters in Riyadh today the Speaker of the National Assembly of Djibouti Mohamed Ali Houmed and the accompanying delegation. Speaker of the Shura Council stressed the deep brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Djibouti in all fields, praising the level of cooperation and coordination between the Saudi Shura Council and Djiboutian National Assembly at the parliamentary level in various regional and international events. Dr. Al Al-Sheikh cast light on the successive developments the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is enjoying upon the Saudi Vision 2030, citing its fruitful outcomes that realized a qualitative leap and development projects. Then, the two senior officials held official talks during which they highlighted the importance of enhancing ties and exerting more efforts to boost cooperation relations between the two countries in all fields, mainly at the parliamentary level between the Shura Council and National Assembly, in addition to highlighting the significance of activating the role of joint parliamentary friendship committees in the two chambers. For his part, Houmed pointed to the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and his country that is also witnessing a progressive development and prosperity, noting that the deep relations the two countries are exchanging embody the keenness and interest of both countries’ leaderships, voicing his appreciation of and gratitude for the generous invitation of Dr. Al Al-Sheikh to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a clear evidence of solid and historic ties between the two brotherly countries, he described. The Djiboutian lawmaker also praised the great role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in contributing to the development of Djibouti, citing Saudi continuous support for the Djiboutian people since their independence, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s valuable efforts in the educational process that resulted in the graduation of qualified personnel from Saudi universities. He also commended the Shura Council and its rich experience from which Djibouti is planning to benefit through enhancing partnership, cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two chambers in a way that enhances the roles and actions of the National Assembly in Djibouti.
