Speaker of Shura Council Holds Official Talks with Speaker of National Assembly of Pakistan

Islamabad, December 23, 2021, SPA -- Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Asad Qaiser referred to the distinguished level achieved by the relations and bonds between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various fields, stressing that these ties are further boosted by the popular brotherly relations that reach to the one-loyalty stage, praising the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, in caring for the Two Holy Mosques. Qaiser made the remarks during a session of official talks with Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, who is currently on an official visit to Pakistan upon an invitation from Qaiser. He also expressed appreciation for the high level reached by the parliamentary relations between the National Assembly and Shura Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, commending Sheikh Dr. Al Al-Sheikh’s interest and keenness to further enhance this cooperation. Qaiser also praised the important and prominent role implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting Islamic peoples and causes, such as the brotherly and humanitarian support for the Afghan people, stressing, at the same, that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia can play an important role in improving conditions in Afghanistan and contribute to overcoming the crisis facing the Afghan people. For his part, Sheikh Dr. Al Al-Sheikh, during the discussions session, praised the solid relations connecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, noting that they are historical deep-rooted ties that necessitate all to work towards further enhancing and boosting them through holding effective meetings and agreements that can draw a practical path to realize the aspirations and hopes of the two brotherly peoples and countries. He also said that the Saudi-Pakistani ties are not only friendly, but also brotherly that resulted in matching visions and points of view over various issues, referring to the continuous and historical stances of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting issues of mutual interest with Pakistan. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Qaiser’s invitation to visit Pakistan to exchange opinions and ideas on various cooperation files and parliamentary action between the Shura Council and National Assembly, and activating the role of joint parliamentary committees. Discussions also went over various issues of mutual interest, cooperation aspects and enhancing coordination at the parliamentary level in Islamic, regional and international events.
