Saudi Press: 42nd Gulf Summit results in great progress in enhancing relations among GCC states

Riyadh, Dec. 16, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad, Al Eqtisadiah, Okaz, and Al-Riyadh newspapers reported in their editorials that the 42nd Gulf Summit, chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has resulted in great progress in enhancing the relations among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and setting up coordination mechanisms for the next development stage. The agreement on principles and policies to develop strategic cooperation during the 42nd Gulf Summit, in addition to ambitious initiatives and ideas would effectively contribute to support the march of the peoples of the region. The meeting of the GCC leaders, held in Riyadh, was also an opportunity to push the relations among the GCC countries to an advanced stage of the desired integration in various fields, the papers said. Therefore, the 42nd Gulf Summit and its positive outcomes are seen as a basic pillar to meet the aspirations and ambitions of the GCC countries, in a way that contributes to achieving the prosperity of their peoples, in addition to promoting common GCC interests, the papers further added.
