Riyadh, June 01, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the ambitious goals at all levels and fields of the Saudi Vision 2030 result in achieving sustainable development and advancing in competitive indicators. In this regard and according to an analysis conducted by the company Dojo, which specializes in smart payment solutions, the Saudi capital, Riyadh, topped a list of Middle East cities in terms of “ambition, innovation and harmonization of the legal and operational environment for entrepreneurship.” Riyadh topped the list of Dojo’s study and ranked 14th internationally among a number of major capitals and cities around the world. The newspaper added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also works on launching initiatives and supporting everything that is in the interest of countries, peoples and the global economy. For instance, Saudi Arabia will participate next Thursday, with a delegation headed by President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, to launch the Riyadh initiative (GlobE Network) aimed at establishing a global operational network for information exchange between anti-corruption law enforcement authorities at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, the newspaper added. In another context, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia relies on its decades-long expertise in dealing with pandemics, crowd control and healthcare, particularly Hajj and Umrah seasons, making use of its advanced infrastructure through modern technologies and hospitals and healthcare centers found across the country. Therefore, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s experience in tackling the new Coronavirus pandemic, according to a well-thought-out plan that included a modern medical equipment and qualified cadres and full support for the health sector until reaching this stage of providing vaccine for everyone, has added new innovative concepts to crisis management and demonstrated a model to the global community in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The newspaper added that as a part of the Kingdom’s efforts, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud invited world leaders to hold an extraordinary G20 virtual summit to discuss a global response to COVID-19. Saudi Arabia also pledged USD 500 million to support global efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic. As per its efforts, Saudi Arabia has affirmed that human safety always comes first. Saudi Arabia has supported India’s anti-coronavirus efforts and sent 60 tons of oxygen. Through the Riyadh-based King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), the Kingdom has also supported Jordanian Health Ministry by contributing to meeting its acute shortage of medical oxygen and other requirements due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. The newspaper further added that 40% of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s population has received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccines from the beginning of the vaccination campaign. This success and excellence is not surprising for Saudi Arabia that  pumps nearly a quarter of the budget annually to the health sector. Saudi Arabia has provided support, treatment and care for everyone without discrimination during this crisis, the newspaper concluded. --SPA 09:52 LOCAL TIME 06:52 GMT 0008 www.spa.gov.sa/w1564711
