Miami, September 16, 2020, SPA --Tropical Storm Teddy strengthened into a hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 160 kilometers per hour (kph), the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said early Wednesday. Teddy was located about 1,300 kilometers east of the Caribbean Sea. Hurricane-force winds extended outward up to 40 kilometers from its center, and tropical storm-force winds extended up to 280 kilometers.
