Miami, Dhu-AlQa'dah 6, 1436, Aug 21, 2015, SPA -- Hurricane Danny strengthened slightly as it moved across the Atlantic Ocean early Friday, U.S. forecasters said. The hurricane’s maximum sustained winds increased to near 140 kilometers per hour (kph), the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said, and some additional strengthening was possible, but Danny should begin to weaken on Saturday. The hurricane was centered about 1,500 kilometers east-southeast of the Caribbean Sea and was moving west-northwest near 17 kph, the NHC said. Danny is a tiny storm, with hurricane-force winds extending outward only 20 kilometers from its center. The storm currently does not pose a threat to land, but the NHC said islands in the eastern Caribbean should monitor its progress. --SPA 17:24 LOCAL TIME 14:24 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
