Riyadh, August 30, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that accessing global markets in a way that enhances the economic diversification and the growth of non-oil exports is one of the most important plans of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. In this regard, the Saudi government provides all economic capabilities in order to improve the efficiency of the export environment by setting programs, providing incentives to exporters, and promoting the competitiveness of Saudi products in international markets. The newspaper pointed to the Saudi business delegation's visit to the Sultanate of Oman. The delegation is headed by Saudi Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and includes officials from government agencies, in addition to a large number of leaders in the private sector, pioneering companies and senior Saudi businessmen. The paper further added that the visit aims to consolidate and expand the economic relations and mutual investments between the two brotherly countries. It also represents the Saudi government’s efforts to encourage Saudi products and services and raise their competitiveness to reach global markets. In order to achieve this goal, the Saudi government takes many measures and initiatives that will make the Saudi product a strong competitor in regional and international markets. In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's students from the intermediate and secondary levels (ages 12-14 years), who have received the COVID-19 vaccine, resumed on Sunday the in-person education with the start of a new school year. In light of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, students, with the support of the wise leadership, are able to start the school year in a healthy and safe environment. The Saudi government has exerted all efforts to confront the pandemic. It provided free of charge vaccines, set numerous plans and issued regulations in order to preserve the health and safety of children, education staff and community members. The newspaper added that with all these preparations for the return to in-person education, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia makes steady progress in tackling the pandemic. Saudi Arabia also witnesses a decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases and critical cases as well as the increase in the number of citizens and residents receiving vaccines.
