Riyadh, September 13, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a strong economy since it is the largest economy and a free market in the region. While it continues to implement its strategy to invest in its geographical location, and within the efforts to achieve ambitious goals of Vision 2030 for all sectors, including industry, attracting investments and supporting the role of the private sector, Saudi Arabia has made integrated launches in various sectors of the national economy towards sustainable transformation. The newspaper added that within the Kingdom’s ambitious investment plans, the industrial sector is witnessing large investment projects, reflecting the diversity and breadth of opportunities for local and foreign capital. In this regard, the newspaper pointed to the announcement of the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA) that foreign investments in new entities soared 108% and that investment licenses for joint ventures with Saudi partners increased during the first half of 2021. In another context, Eqtisadiah and Al-Yaum newspapers reported in their editorials that the National Platform for Charitable Work (Ehsan) has achieved its fundamental goals and objectives within a short period of time since its establishment. It has become a trusted authority for charitable humanitarian work in Saudi Arabia. Ehsan, which works under the umbrella of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and a number of government agencies, is a pivotal project within the projects of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which included all fields and sectors capable of transferring the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia into an advanced stages, including charitable sector, the newspaper added. Within the same context, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, has made an additional donation of SR10 million to Ehsan, as an extension of his previous donation to the platform last Ramadan, and out of his keenness to support and empower the Charitable work sector, and the platform, with His Royal Highness’ donation, reached a total of SR1 billion in donations. Ehsan platform is the first national platform to receive such an amount of donations in record time, which marked an ambitious beginning towards maximizing the impact of the charitable work sector, the newspapers added. The success that Ehsan platform has achieved in record time is a result of HRH Crown Prince's continuous empowerment of all areas that serve the needy, and this is what the platform is keen to continue achieving through its services based on studying the reality of the needs of the charitable sector, and reaching one billion riyals of donations is the biggest catalyst for the platform to continue its work, which contributed to ensuring speed, reliability, and transparency for donors, the newspapers concluded. -- SPA 09:42 LOCAL TIME 06:42 GMT 0004 www.spa.gov.sa/w1617020
