Paris, January 08, 2020, SPA -- France condemned the Iranian missile attack on the two Iraqi military bases hosting American and international coalition troops last night, reiterating its solidarity with its allies and coalition partners as well as its commitment for the sovereignty and security of Iraq. In a statement issued by the French Foreign Ministry today, Paris affirmed that "de-escalation is a priority more than ever. The cycle of violence must be stopped. For its part, France remains determined to work to ease tensions. It is in contact with all the parties concerned in order to encourage restraint and a sense of responsibility."
