DUBAI, Dhu-AlHijjah 20, 1438, September 11, 2017, SPA -- The Emirates Human Rights Association (EHRA) has expressed its support for the statement issued by the National Society for Human Rights (NSHR) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which condemned the flagrant violation of the human rights of Qatari citizen Hamad Abdul Hadi Al-Marri, his beating, degradation and humiliation after returning from Hajj and leaving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Qatar, with the filming of the said acts, promoting and disseminating the violations among all people. Mohammed Salem Al Ka'abi, Chairman of EHRA, affirmed that all these acts, individually and collectively, are crimes against humanity. He urged the National Human Rights Committee of Qatar and all international human rights organizations to respond to the call of NSHR to fulfil its duty to ensure the disclosure of the fate of this Qatari citizen and to protect him from the attacks and violations that have been committed against him, and to ensure his safety and not being subjected to pressure imposed by certain political dictates because of his right to perform Hajj. Al Ka'abi expressed his support for the demands of the Saudi Human Rights Society that the National Human Rights Committee of Qatar and all human rights associations, organizations and committees in the world shoulder their legal and moral responsibilities towards all Qatari citizens who performed Hajj and facilitate the procedures of visiting and continuous communication with them by human rights organizations and the media to be reassured about them and their situations. --SPA 10:54 LOCAL TIME 07:54 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w484837
