KUALA LUMPUR, Rabi'II 21, 1438, January 19, 2017, SPA -- A preparatory meeting for the extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) started here today to discuss Rohingya Muslims situations in Myanmar. In his speech during the meeting, Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs Ambassador Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Alam said that we feel sad on reports referring to the tragic situations and sufferings of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar due to extensive campaigns of arbitrary arrests and extra-judicial killings launched by police forces as well as burning of homes and mosques where these actions have forced thousands of people to flee from their homes seeking for safe havens. The Ambassador added that the council has strongly condemned marginalization, deprivation and exclusion of Rohingya Muslims there. --SPA 12:04 LOCAL TIME 09:04 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w315611
