Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage Adopts 13 Initiatives at a cost SR 26 billion

Riyadh, Shawwal 26, 1437, Jul 31, 2016, SPA -- The National Transformation Program approved by the Council of Ministers has adopted 13 initiatives for the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTA) at a cost exceeding SR 26 billion. These initiatives constitute qualitative projects submitted by the Commission to the State since the approval of the national strategy for tourism development and the subsequent programs worked on during the past decade by the Commission to promote tourism and national heritage sector. On the occasion, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the Commission has emphasized that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the leader of the national transformation and government development has attached great interest in the development of sectors of tourism and national heritage to enable them to perform their roles assigned to them, especially the care of the national heritage as the main component of the national identity as a source of promoting citizenship, as well as support for national tourism due to its important role in the national economy. --SPA 14:42 LOCAL TIME 11:42 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
