Yemeni committee documented more than 9,000 cases of human rights violations in Yemen 2 Riyadh

A number of members of the committee spoke in the news conference and highlighted the details of the committee's work. They explained that the committee documented the occurrence of 3054 cases of murder of civilians, including 129 children and 102 women as well as 3906 injured people as a result of the armed conflict during the period from March 2015 until July 30, 2016. The committee recorded 387 cases of child recruitment under the age of 15 years, 450 cases of extrajudicial killings, 385 cases of arbitrary arrests and forced disappearances, and 81 mine laying operations in a number of Yemeni provinces. The committee documented 143 house bombings, 132 cases of torture and ill-treatment some of which amouned to murder and nine cases of assaults on Yemeni cultural and intellectual figures.
