Yemeni committee documented more than 9,000 cases of human rights violations in Yemen

Riyadh, Dhu-AlQa'dah 13, 1437, August 16, 2016, SPA -- The Yemeni Committee for Investigation into Claims of Human Rights Violations explained that it has documented 9,816 cases of alleged violation of human rights inside the Yemeni territories since January 2011. In a news conference at the headquarters of the Yemeni embassy in Riyadh on Monday, the chairman of the Yemeni committee Judge Qaher Mustafa said that the committee, which began its work nine months ago, has been able to monitor, document and investigate 9,816 alleged human rights violations inside the territory of Yemen since January 2011. The committee included these alleged violations in its report to be introduced in the next meeting of the Human Rights Council. He pointed out that the committee delivered a copy of its initial report about the allegations of the human rights violations in Yemen to Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
