Hanoi, Sha'ban 29, 1437, Jun 5, 2016, SPA -- Three people, including two children, were still reported missing after a tourist boat capsized on a popular river in central Vietnam, dpa cited officials as saying Sunday. Da Nang authorities verified 56 passengers on the tourist boat that was allowed to carry 28. The driver of the boat, who has been detained, does not have a legitimate licence, they said. The chairman of Da Nang city, Huynh Duc Tho, said 53 people were rescued as of 6 am Sunday (2300 GMT Saturday) but three victims - including a 4-year-old boy and his 7-year-old sister - were still missing. Reports at 1 am Sunday said 32 people had been rescued. Four Malaysians have been rescued, but a 47-year-old man is in critical condition. Another Vietnamese man was reported in the same status. The accident occurred around 9 pm Saturday, when a leisure vessel travelling on the Han River in the city of Da Nang capsized, Major General Ngo Quy Duc, deputy commander of military region 5, said. --SPA 14:34 LOCAL TIME 11:34 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
