The men on board sent out a distress call after the 6-metre-long pleasure boat sailing in 1.5-metre-high seas experienced engine trouble and took on water, the Kyodo News agency reported, citing the Japan Coast Guard. When rescuers arrived, the boat was floating keel-up.
