Riyadh, Rabi'II 01, 1437, January 11, 2016, SPA -- Majlis Ashura (consultative council) demanded the ministry of Hajj (pilgrimage) to conduct a comprehensive study to re-construct the site of Mina, a limited site where pilgrims should stay between two to three days and nights after the peak of Hajj in Arafat. In its ninth ordinary session held here today under the chairmanship of its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Shiekh, the Shura council advised that the study, which should be conducted in coordination with other concerned authorities, considers the flow of transportation between Mina and other sacred sites, mainly Arafat, Muzdalefa and downtown Makkah, raising the capacity of roads leading to Jamarat (devil stone throwing) facility, and to the accommodation areas in Mina, reducing the areas allotted for governmental agencies, increasing the area allotted for each pilgrim from the current size and promoting the efficiency of services, and means of security and safety.
