Makkah, Dhu-AlHijjah 3, 1436, Sep 17, 2015, SPA -- The civil defense teams succeeded in the early hours of today's morning in the evacuation of 1028 Asian pilgrims from an eight floor hotel licensed to house pilgrims in Al-Azizyiah neighborhood in Makkah, after a fire broke out in a room at its eighth floor of the hotel's 11-stories. Media spokesman for the civil defense forces in Hajj, Colonel Abdullah Al-Orabi Al-Harthy said that Makkah civil defense operations received a report at 12:30 a.m. this morning, about the incident and a number of six teams were immediately dispatched to the incident site. He further said that civil defense teams have evacuated the hotel and saved two of pilgrims who were injured in the incident.
