Jeddah, Dhu-AlHijjah 18, 1436, October 02, 2015, SPA -- The Foreign Ministers of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in New York yesterday an extraordinary meeting on East Al-Quds in response to the invitation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Ministers issued a decision confirming the Palestinian sovereignty over East Al-Quds, the Islamic nation's refusal and condemnation of the actions of the Israeli occupation authorities, and its determination to prevent and revoke the Israeli measures as being invalid, condemned, illegal and violating international law, conventions and resolutions. The meeting called on the United Nations Security Council to take a swift action to compel "Israel," the occupying Power, to cease its violations; and to adopt a resolution setting out a timetable and practical steps to end the Israeli occupation, also calling for the convention of an international conference to achieve a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East based on the international legitimacy resolutions. --More 18:21 LOCAL TIME 15:21 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
