The Shura Council supported the decision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to officially cut relations with Iran, after becoming impatient with Iran's policies in support for terrorism , its interference in the internal affairs of countries in the region, seeking to destabilize their security and stability, the hostile statements by officials of the regime, and the lack of commitment to protect the headquarters of the Saudi Embassy in Tehran and its Consulate from the attacks which came after the announcement of the execution of Sharia penalties against terrorists on whom the regime in Tehran was betting to create chaos in the Kingdom. The Council also stressed its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to protect the security in the Kingdom and the region. -- SPA 12:48 LOCAL TIME 09:48 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
