"In the context of integration with the international community, the Kingdom seeks to make efforts in order to maintain the capabilities of the environment at all levels, where it ratified most international and regional conventions and treaties in the environment and sustainable development, and was one of the first countries that applied it", Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Jasser said. He stressed that the Kingdom was keen in its environmental policies to introduce the concepts of sustainable development, and deepen this concepts at all levels. It also developed national legislations, strategies and plans to achieve it. Others who spoke at the conference included Dr. Abdurrahman bin Mohammed Al Ibrahim, Governor of the General Establishment for Water Desalination, Dr. Abdurrahman Al-Awadhi, the Executive Director of the Regional Organization for the Protection of the Marine Environment.
