Washington, Rabi'I 7, 1436, Dec 29, 2014, SPA -- U.S. President Barack Obama Monday warned Republicans in Congress that he has a veto pen and, come next month, he will not be afraid to use it. President Obama has only vetoed legislation twice since taking office in 2009, but with Republicans set to take complete control of Congress in 2015, President Obama said that he may need to use his veto power more often. "I haven't used the veto pen very often since I've been in office," President Obama told National Public Radio (NPR) in an interview. "Now, I suspect, there are going to be some times where I've got to pull that pen out." "I'm going to defend gains that we've made in healthcare. I'm going to defend gains that we've made on environment and clean air and clean water," President Obama said. --SPA 20:08 LOCAL TIME 17:08 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
