Cairo, Shawwal 23, 1435, August 19, 2014, SPA -- The Supreme Council of the Cairo-based Al-Azhar unanimously decided at a meeting today, chaired by Sheikh of the prestigious Islamic body Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayyeb, to grant its international honorary doctorate to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in recognition of his service to Islam and Muslims in the world and his efforts in support of the unity of Islamic nation.
