United Nations, Safar 27, 1436, Dec 19, 2014, SPA -- Negotiations on a draft U.N. resolution that sets terms for a final Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement will “take time,” Jordan said Thursday, indicating that a Security Council vote was not imminent. Jordan presented the draft resolution Wednesday to the 15-country council on behalf of the Palestinians, who said they were open to negotiations on the text. “It will take time,” Jordanian U.N. Ambassador Dina Kawar told reporters. Jordan, France, and Britain were hoping to finalize a draft resolution that could be adopted by consensus at the Security Council and will not be vetoed by the United States. --SPA 13:44 LOCAL TIME 10:44 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
