The Ministers expressed their satisfaction with the outcome of the Cairo Gaza Conference, which was held on 12 October 2014, where donors pledged financial commitments amounting to $5.4 billion, and praised the generous contributions of GCC member states, which amounted to $ 1.9 billion. The Ministers called for the immediate reconvening of peace negotiations that will lead to ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and work towards reaching a peaceful solution based on the two-state principle according to relevant Security Council resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative. The Ministers also reaffirmed their determination to provide the necessary support to reach a solution that leads to the establishment of an independent sovereign state on the basis of the 1967 borders, and solve all final status issues, which will lead to regional peace and security. The Ministers reiterated that Israeli settlements on the Occupied Palestinian Territories are illegal under international law and undermine the prospects for achieving a comprehensive long-standing peace. The Ministers stressed the importance of the implementation of Iran's obligations accurately and transparently regarding its nuclear program, and the need to reach a diplomatic solution before 24 November 2014 building on the interim agreement between the P5+1 and Iran of 24 of November 2013. They called on the Iranian government to carry out its responsibilities under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the relevant Security Council resolutions, and to address regional and international concerns about the Iranian nuclear program, as well as the regional environmental concerns resulting from the implications of this program, and in particular the Bushehr nuclear reactor, while recognizing its rights and those of other states in the region to acquire peaceful nuclear technology. The Ministers expressed their deep concern about Iranian interference in the internal affairs of the GCC countries and in the region, and called for an end to these acts, which do not serve regional stability and security. --More 11:51 LOCAL TIME 08:51 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
