The Ministers reiterated their concern at the lack of progress towards resolving the dispute between the United Arab Emirates and Iran over the three islands of Abu Musa, Lesser Tunb and Greater Tunb. They reiterated their support for a peaceful settlement of this dispute in accordance with international law, either through direct negotiations between the parties or by referring the matter to the International Court of Justice. The Ministers emphasized their full commitment to the unity of Yemen, respect for its sovereignty and independence, and rejected any interference in its internal affairs. They also stressed their support for President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, to complete the transition phase in accordance with the GCC Initiative and its Implementation Mechanism, in order to enhance the security and stability of Yemen. They stressed the need for the commitment of all political forces of Yemen to implement the outputs of the comprehensive national dialogue conference, and to provide the appropriate atmosphere to complete the implementation of the GCC Initiative and its Implementation Mechanism, as well as the drafting of a new constitution that arbitrates differences and meets the aspirations of all the people of Yemen. Moreover, they emphasized the importance of commitment to the implementation of the UNSCR 2140 (2014) on designating any party seeking directly or indirectly, to interfere in the political process or prevent the completion of the transition process. The Ministers recalled the UNSCR 2140 (2014) and the UNSC Presidential statement on Yemen (29 August 2014) and strongly condemned all those who obstruct peace in Yemen and urged all Yemeni parties to adhere to settle their differences through dialogue and discussion, and renounce the use of violence to achieve political goals. The Ministers condemned seizure of governmental civil and military institutions and the destruction and looting of their contents.
