The Ministers called on all parties in Libya to accept an immediate, comprehensive ceasefire and engage constructively in a peaceful and inclusive political dialogue to resolve the ongoing crisis, abstaining from confrontational acts that risk undermining it. They underscored the legitimacy of the House of Representatives as the sole legislative authority in Libya. The Ministers fully supported the efforts of the Special Representative of the Secretary General Bernardino Leon to secure a negotiated settlement, and appreciate the work of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya in this regard. The Ministers recalled UNSCR 2174 (2014) on Libya, and called for its speedy implementation. The Ministers expressed concern over increasing armed operations and acts of violence in Libya by extremist armed groups, which disturb security and stability in Libya and threaten its unity, as well as security of the neighboring countries. Strongly committed to the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and national unity of Libya, the Ministers called on Libya’s interim government and all elected members of the House of Representatives to adopt inclusive policies that benefit all Libyans and meet the aspirations of the Libyan people for security, reconciliation, and prosperity. The Ministers expressed their gratitude to Kuwait for its generous hospitality and reception. They agreed to hold the next joint ministerial meeting in spring 2015. --SPA 11:52 LOCAL TIME 08:52 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
