Riyadh, May 02, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the first phase of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 has made numerous achievements in various fields. However, the vision’s response to the housing problem has been culminated with unprecedented success. The newspaper further said that His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has pointed out that there were a number of challenges regarding the twenty-year-old housing problem including the state’s weak position, the division of the ministries and the absence of general policy for the state. From this point, the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 was able to tackle the problem with a strategic planning and determination, along with activating the role of the Real Estate Development Fund (REDF) to achieve its goals and upgrade its performance, as this resulted in the launch of the real estate loan program with a subsidy of up to 100 percent and housing and finance options. Over the past five years, the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 has realized tangible achievements regarding goals of the Housing Program, one of the Vision 2030 programs. Before the vision, the housing ratio was 47% and it increased to 60% in four years only, the newspaper concluded. In another context, Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the recent the attack attempt against Jeddah, constitutes one of the attacks carried out against Saudi Arabia during the Holy month of Ramadan, which were all successfully intercepted and destroyed by the Saudi defenses in accordance with all measures and procedures that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia adopts in order to preserve its security and stability, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents. The newspaper added that the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque efforts and preparations for the last 10 days of Ramadan coincide with desperate attempts that target the Muslims' Qibla and the Two Holy Mosques during the Holy month of Ramadan. The newspaper concluded that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s superior defense capabilities are defending the security of its territories and protecting its borders. Nevertheless, the international community still has to play a role and bear its responsibilities in order to protect the energy and trade sectors in the world from these irresponsible militias and those who support them, and to protect innocent people from these regional crimes and global threats. --SPA 12:51 LOCAL TIME 09:51 GMT 0015 www.spa.gov.sa/w1552093
