Riyadh, Feb. 02, 2021, SPA -- An official source at the Ministry of Interior stated that, in reference to the statement issued on 13/01/2021 regarding travel ban to a number of countries due to the continuing outbreak of the novel Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), in accordance with the preventive and precautionary measures recommended by the health authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and as a part of its relentless efforts to control and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 as well as due to the importance of maintaining the epidemiological situation and public health in the country, the Ministry of Interior announced that a temporary suspension for entry to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been enforced on non-citizens, diplomats, health practitioners and their families coming from each of the Republic of Argentina, Federal Republic of Brazil, Arab Republic of Egypt, Republic of France, Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of India, Republic of Indonesia, Ireland, Republic of Italy, Japan, Republic of Lebanon, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Republic of Portugal, Republic of South Africa, Kingdom of Sweden, Swiss Confederation, Republic of Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States of America. The temporary suspension includes whoever comes from other countries if he/she passed through any of the aforementioned countries during the 14 days preceding the request to enter the Kingdom. The source added that the citizens, diplomats, health practitioners and their families coming from the aforementioned countries or those who transited any of those countries during the 14 days preceding their return to the Kingdom will enter the Kingdom in accordance with the precautionary measures imposed by the Ministry of Health.
