London, Jumada I 19, 1439, February 05, 2018, SPA -- Britain has expressed great concerns over reports that the Syrian regime of Bashar Al-Asad has used chlorine toxic gas in eastern Al-Ghota three times since the beginning of this year. In a statement issued recently, Alistair Burt, minister of state for middle east affairs at the foreign and commonwealth office, said that Britain is very much worried over news that chlorine gas was used in eastern Al-Ghota at least three times in 2018 by the forces of Al-Asad. Had such reports were proven true, they would site another example of the flagrant negligence of Assad's regime of the Syrian people and of its legal commitment not to use chemical weapons in the conflict. Burt underscored the importance of Assad's regime allowing the entrance of human assistance immediately, calling on Russia and the regime's supporters to guarantee that. He said his country is planning to call on Russia and the world community to agree at a security council meeting on Monday February 5, 2018 on holding the Syrian regime accountable of using such fatal weapons and call on it to refrain from more attacks on civilians and give guarantees to achieve justice for the victims. --SPA 22:08 LOCAL TIME 19:08 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w604035
