Beirut, Jumada II 12, 1438, Mar 11, 2017, SPA -- UNRWA today expressed concern over escalation of shelling over southern Syria, leading to displacement of Palestinian refugees and pushing them to face disastrous situations. In a statement, UNRWA said the fighting raging in southern parts of Syria is leading to displacement of Palestinian refugees and disruption of delivery of humanitarian assistance in addition to the killing of several innocent people over the last few weeks. The organization said that it was providing during the last three days assistance to more than 200 families who fled fighting and violence which raged Jelain village, located some 25 kilometers west of the Syrian city of Daraa.
