The app aims to facilitate and empower hobbyists of all ages to practice their hobbies and express themselves. This will help develop the hobby sector in the Kingdom and provide the means to build a vibrant, proactive and effective society to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. Tareq bin Adnan Al-Ghourabi, director general of Hawi, said: “We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Hawi app. It includes a set of new services that aim to facilitate and improve the user experience, to create a fun and stimulating environment for both citizens and residents of the Kingdom to explore and develop their hobbies, thus completing the work process to develop and activate the hobby sector and achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in the areas of quality of life.” “The new version of Hawi provides 14 services, including amateur experiences; join a club, establish a club, participate with an amateur, events, market your club, training courses, facilities, spaces, tools, club competitions, partnerships and sponsorships, letters and approvals, volunteer services, finances of your club,” he said. “The following services provide users a better experience to explore and develop their hobbies in an interactive and educational way, with the option to customize the personal experience for each hobbyist, based on their hobbies. Hobbyists can check events related to hobbies, which helps them stay up to date with events and opportunities that interest them,” Al- Ghourabi said. The Hawi pavilion, held in Riyadh’s Boulevard for three days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday), allows the public to explore the new Hawi application and understand its features and services, in addition to participating in several interactive and live experiences in several hobbies. The Hawi platform was established by 12 government agencies to encourage the setting up of amateur clubs, register memberships, offer information support on matters such as regulations, booking spaces and facilities, promote training courses, and help coordinate community partnerships with local institutions.
