MWL and Bosnian Parliament host conference to promote peace and tolerance in Sarajevo

In a collaborative effort, the Muslim World League (MWL) and the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina have hosted a regional conference in Sarajevo, aimed at fostering tolerance, coexistence, and peace. The event seeks to bolster these crucial values and maintain the progress achieved in light of current global events. The conference was inaugurated by Zeljko Komsic, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with notable attendance from Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL, and the Speaker of the Bosnian Parliament. The gathering attracted a diverse group of participants, including political, parliamentary, and government representatives, religious leaders, and civil society members from the Balkans. Komsic highlighted the importance of the conference in his opening speech, praising the diversity of attendees and the unified goal of enhancing tolerance and peace. Al-Issa, in his inaugural address, commended the solidarity and harmony of the Balkan model, recognizing its potential to learn from history and make wise decisions on critical issues. Al-Issa pointed out that the Balkan model represents a forward-looking chapter of civilization, focusing on the welfare of future generations and overcoming challenges. He emphasized that this model could inspire others by drawing on its historical experiences and avoiding the adverse outcomes of religious, ethnic, and partisan conflicts.
