The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has made a telephone call to President of Peoples Republic of China Xi Jinping in which he congratulated him on the success of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, his re-election as Secretary General of the Party and his nomination as President of the Republic. The King stressed that the presidents election embodies the confidence of the Chinese people in their leadership and confirms the great successes achieved for the friendly Peoples Republic of China in all fields. For his part, the Chinese president expressed his gratitude to the King, anticipating to strongly pushing forward the comprehensive strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and China and enhancing and developing joint cooperation through the Saudi-Chinese Joint High Committee. During the conversation, they also discussed the latest regional and international developments and efforts exerted to achieve world security and peace.
