Saudi air defenses intercepted on Friday a ballistic missile fired by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen against the Kingdom, reported the Saudi Press Agency. Arab coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki stated that the rocket was fired from Yemen’s Amran region towards Jazan. The air defenses intercepted and destroyed the missile, he added. No one was injured in the incident. This hostile act demonstrates the Iranian regime’s ongoing involvement in supporting the Houthis with weapons in clear and blatant violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions 2216 and 2231, he stressed.
