JEDDAH: Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, general supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), has hailed the pioneering role played by the Kingdom in relief and humanitarian work internationally. Al-Rabeeah’s comments came during the “Saudi Humanitarian Action: Figures Talk — Yemen as a Model” seminar, which was organized by KSRelief in cooperation with the Saudi Embassy in Djibouti. Al-Rabeeah said that KSRelief, since its establishment on May 13, 2015, has implemented 482 projects at a cost of about $2 billion in 42 countries. He said that Yemen, due to its great importance to the Kingdom and its people, has had the largest share of the center’s projects and its support in the areas of food security, health, shelter, social support and protection, which amounted to 294 projects at a cost of $1.66 billion. Al-Rabeeah stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to support Djibouti with many projects in the past ten years, the number of which has reached 18 projects and programs at a cost of more than $166.3 million.
