CAIRO — Saudi Arabia’s Acting Minister of Media Majid Al-Qasabi called for a common Arab stance and a unified Arab vision and strategy on all current issues. Amid technological developments in the media and fast-paced global events, the common approach is imperative to deal with the issue like Palestine as well as to coordinate efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic and its repercussions, he added. Al-Qasabi made the remarks in a statement following the 51st session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, which was held here on Wednesday, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The Saudi minister underlined the importance of preparing a unified Arab vision and strategy to meet the challenges of digital media, noting that Arab information ministers realize its need. Al-Qasabi pointed out that Saudi Arabia has proposed the preparation of a unified strategy to confront crises such as the coronavirus pandemic and to deal with crises in general. The proposal was welcomed by the Arab information ministers.
