Split-Croatia I MISS YOU Tonight I miss you like never before, I miss laying my head upon your chest. Tonight I miss you making me smile, I miss your cold hands making me warm. I miss you wiping the tears from my eyes, So their salt leaves no mark. I also miss those morning a long time ago When we were getting ready for vacation. Split-Croatia Ljubica Katic was born in 1957 in Nikšić, Montenegro, where she had lived and worked until 2008, when she came to Split and stayed there. Since early childhood she has been writing first childrens’ poems published in childrens’ magazines, later love, social, spiritual, and haiku poetry. She has been awarded many times, in her own country as well as abroad. Her poems have been translated into English, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Romani, Bengali, Hindi. She is represented in many international joint anthologies around the world. Of all the awards only some that are important to mention are: International Ambassador of Peace, World Literary Forum for Peace and Human Rights, 2021 Global Poet Certificate, The Poetry Readers Award, 2021 Certificate of Appreciation, DARPAN – International Festival Award, 2020 Certificate of Excellence, Indo Universe Voice of Poetry, 2020 Certificate of Appreciation, Gujarat Sahitya Academy, India, 2020 First Place for Poetry, Literary manifestation Ohrid pearl of poetry, Macedonia, 2020 Gold medal from the Belgrade Writers Society, the Ministry of Culture under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, 2016 International Ambassador of Peace, Nigeria 2018 Her poems have often been published in magazines, some of which are: Mirror, New Delhi (2020), Motivational Strips, India (three times in 2020), Discourse (Croatia), and many others. She has published two independent collections of love poetry, the bilingual edition of Croatian-English entitled “Between pain and love” and “To you, and yet to myself”. Her third collection is also in preparation and should see the light of day by the end of 2021. Also, her first collection of childrens’ poetry is being prepared. She is a member of many literary associations, of which we single out: Zenit, Montenegro Vision, Montenegro A word above all, Zadar, Croatia Dream Culture, Croatia Majdan , Serbia World Union of Poets, Italy She lives and works in Split, Croatia Arabian Nights, World Poems A literary work inspired the world’s creators, whether they were poets, novelists, painters, or film, theater makers and music composers. A world that mixes history and legend, a space to travel between illusion and reality.
