Jeddah, Aug. 16, 2021, SPA -- The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) called on Taliban and all Afghan parties to uphold the interest of the Afghan people, protect lives, renounce violence and bring lasting peace to achieve the aspirations and hopes of the Afghan people for stability, decent living and prosperity. The Jeddah-based organization affirmed its follow-up of the developments of events in Afghanistan and its keenness to establish security and peace in the country as soon as possible.
