Makkah emir honors winners of Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Award for Arabic Poetry

Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah region, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Arabic Poetry, crowned the winners of Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Award for Arabic Poetry in its fourth season. The winners of the award were: the Poetry Experience Award with a value of SR500,000 — Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Ali from Saudi Arabia; the Diwan Award (SR200,000) — Mohamed Al-Amin Joop from Senegal for his poetry "A song that will not be completed"; the Poetry Prize for the playwright (SR100,000) — Mohamed Ismail Abdullah Swailem from Egypt for his play "A Blind Plays Chess"; the award for the sung poem (SR100,000) — Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain from Kuwait for the poem "I will not forget you", performed by artist Walaa Al-Jundi; and A project in the service of Arabic poetry (SR100,000) — The House of Poetry in Sharjah, UAE. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal also honored the winners of the Promising Poet Award with a total value of SR500,000 as well as the winners of the Saudi Universities Track Award with a prize of SR60,000 for each winner. — SPA
