The ministerial committee of the Arab Peace Initiative said that, "in light of the address delivered by the Israeli Prime Minister, the committee decided to head to the UN to file an application for getting full membership of the State of Palestine at this world body on the basis of 1967 frontiers with East Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital during the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly, namely in September 2011." Further, "it decided to take necessary legal measures according to the rules applied by the UN, and to ask from a working group which is made up of the committee's chairman, the Arab League's Secretary General, and the State of Palestine, and whoever the committee selects of the Arab League member states to put these measures into force." The committee "will also follow up with the UN on the implementation, along with asking the Arab League Secretary General to continue his role in this respect, and to take part in the working group and to continue to follow up the situation." Moreover, it said that, "the Arab side is determined upon taking all necessary measures, and to conduct all contacts in order to mobilize the support required from the Security Council members, and political and geographical groupings in the UN in what allows for the issue of the desired above-mentioned resolution." --MORE 12:38 LOCAL TIME 09:38 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/897579
