On the summit held in Riyadh last Wednesday, the Dammam-based Al-Yaum said the optimism which prevailed in the Arab world following the aforesaid summit, provides a clear evidence that the Arabs are in need of revival of the joint Arab work and overcoming differences and disputes for confronting the challenges. The wisdom of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has made him the pioneer of the Arab reconciliation and the advocator for solidarity, said the paper, noting that the Arabs do feel unhappy when their leaders are involved in disputes which are finked by foreign regional and intentional parties. The problem of some Arabs is that they are engaged in lip-services and pronouncements through speeches and are wearing military uniforms at sites far away from the battle fields, the daily said. "When Saudi Arabia called for avoiding irrational adventures some voices were raised criticizing the Kingdom, but at the end they realized that they all should resort to the Kingdom’s wise call". The paper hailed the Kingdom's farsightedness and its endeavors to revive the joint Arab work surpassing useless disputes. The summit hosted by Riyadh last week can be a starting point for an Arab strategy for protecting our future, it concluded.--MORE www.spa.gov.sa/644028
