Saudi Press expresses optimism over success of summit 4 Riyadh

The Abha-based 'Al-Watan' newspaper under the title 'Summit of Changes' said if the Palestinian and Lebanese causes, in addition to Iraq Darfur and Somalia were the main topics on the summit's agenda, then numerous resolutions and recommendations adopted by previous Arab summits remained ink on paper, notably the joint Arab defense agreement, and the joint Arab market. The paper said that developments which preceded the convening of the summit today indicated that Riyadh's summit would be different from past summits, thanks to the resolve of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz who is quite aware of the necessity to put aside the routine of past summits and work to confront our current circumstances. The paper concluded: what the summit demands from Arab brothers is to put an end to their internal disputes such as what is happening in Lebanon.
