The Jeddah-based Okaz said despite the hesitation and intransigence of Israel, yet it dared not to plainly reject the Arab initiative. The Arab initiative reflects the unified Arab vision to peace in the region and the initiative is characterized with objectiveness and reason far away from hollow slogans, it said. On its part, the Dammam-based al-Yaum said Israel had committed a heinous crime in Gaza and added that it is high time for the Arabs and Palestinians to prevent Israel from repeating its crime in any party of the Palestinian territories.
