Riyadh, Jan 11, SPA -- The Saudi newspapers commented today editorially on a number of local, regional and international topics. On the local issues they said the decisions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz pertaining to the educational sector serve this important sector. The recent approval of the King to originate more than 2000 educational jobs for the settlement of the situation of the teachers embodies his keenness on improving the performance of the employees at the various governmental departments. On the Israeli massacre in Gaza, the papers said the resolution of the security council number 1860 is not enough to put an end to the massacre and there is an urgent need for the activation of the resolution, adding that pressure should be put on Israel to draw its attention to the fact that the massacres will not form a suitable ground for the resumption of the peace process. The papers quoted the famous British writer Patrick Seale as saying the massacre has turned Israel into a state which is hated by the Arab and Muslim world.--more www.spa.gov.sa/624756
