The Jeddah-based Al-Bilad commenting on the visit of Turkish President Abdullah Gul to the Kingdom, said Turkey is one of the influential Islamic countries at the international arena. The visit of the Turkish President to Riyadh has reiterated the Islamic solidarity and the support of Turkey to the Arabs in their struggle in Palestine. On its part, Al-Madina, which his published in Jeddah, expressed pessimism over the chances of bringing about peace in the middle east after the forthcoming general elections in Israel despite the appointment of Mitchell as the US envoy to the Middle East.
