Al-Watan newspaper highlighted more on the Chinese presidential visit saying it comes as a continuation of the communication ring started by the then crown prince - the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to the People's Republic of China which was culminated in establishing diplomatic relations in 1990, then a historic visit by The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz to Beijing in 2006. "The progressive development in Saudi-Chinese relations in every field is accredited to The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz as has been described by the Chinese president". Since the inception of the Saudi-Chinese diplomatic ties, the relations have bee developed thoroughly, especially after the historic visit of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to China. During that visit, Five agreements between the two countries in the field of oil, natural gas and mining sector in addition to avoidance of double taxation, vocational training had been signed. No doubt that such agreements provide fundamental base for strong relations between the two countries, the paper said There is no doubt that the Chinese President's visit to the Kingdom and his meeting with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, will promote the consolidation of the Sino-Saudi relations, not only in oil but in other areas of political and non-political aspects, particularly in the dawn of a new century marked by unprecedented economic crisis and changes in the balance of International power.
